1Q84, a science fiction novel by Haruki Murakami, was first published in 2009. I'm tasked with developing visual assets, such as posters, book covers, and social media content, to promote the novel's relaunch.

Set in 1984, the novel follows two storylines occurring concurrently in a 'real world' and a parallel world. A woman called Aomame begins to notice strange things happening around her. For this relaunch, I'm required to utilise a series of photography as material to develop the visual concept. This approach will allow me to evoke both the novel's retro charm and science fiction futurism through the use of bitmap.
